DOCKLANDS PRIMARY CONCEPT UNVEILED News / Project Milestone / Media / 27.10.2017

The Victoria School Building Authority this week unveiled the masterplan overview for the new Docklands Primary School. Referencing the Docklands past as an enriched wetland, the masterplan envisages a place that is nourishing, balanced and sustainable. The proposed school will become a key anchor point to enable and nurture social interaction for emerging and future communities of Docklands, Harbour Town and E-Gate. McGregor Coxall is leading the Landscape Architecture component of the 3 story facility which will encompass flexible outdoor spaces, catering to a range of activities that foster creative learning. The masterplan process, led by Cox Architects included 2 community focus workshops which emphasised the need for a sustainable building with the incorporation of strong natural elements, including trees, vegetation and open space for students to run around and play.
