Ballast Point Park, Western Sydney Parklands and the National Garden Australia are featured in the National Parks Changing Australia Exhibition from 26 October 2016 to 30 April 2017. A national jury selected 13 projects as the top parks changing Australia. Additionally, the jury selected 10 parks each from Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth that will feature at Virgin Australia lounges in each host city.

Parks Changing Australia is a collaboration between the National Museum of Australia and the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects. Coinciding with the 2016 International Festival of Landscape Architecture, the exhibition aims to provide insight for the general public into the work of landscape architects, and highlight the importance of design and urban planning in shaping vibrant cities and communities.
