Associate Landscape Architect and Urban Designer Nicola Balch has relocated to the McGregor Coxall Bristol studio. Nicola has been working with the Bristol studio remotely for over a year on a range of projects including the winning City of London Smart Carpet competition. Nicola is a thought leader in this area having recently completed a Byera Hadley traveling scholarship from the Architecture Registration Board in Australia where she travel to the USA to interview leading professionals on the deployment of community engagement based internet of things technology in public spaces.  Nicola brings over 5 years experience and joins Bristol studio leader Mike Cowdy who has previously worked with Nicola on several award winning projects including the Parramatta City River Strategy and Byron Bay town centre masteraplan. In Sydney Nicola was project manager for the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct, Jenolan Caves masterplan and Rich Street Innovation Hub.
