Kaohsiung Exhibition & Convention Centre

Kaohsiung Exhibition & Convention Centre / Taiwan, Taiwan

McGregor Coxall in collaboration with COX Architecture and Ricky Liu Architects won the bid to deliver the Kaohsiung Exhibition and Convention Centre in Taiwan. The winning design concept reflects Kaohsiung strong relationship with the sea being Taiwans’ largest harbour city and is currently undergoing major urban transformation. Critical to the design is the introduction of a public street that links the city urban fabric to the developing waterfront. The building is reflective of the new hybrid centre that truly combines exhibition and convention in a single integrated public facility. The exhibition component of the scheme has 1100 indoor ground floor stands and 400 outdoor stands while the first floor convention component accommodates 2000 delegates.
