Urban Design

Responding to rapid changes in city design and living, our philosophy balances built environments, natural systems, and sociocultural needs to support vibrant communities of all sizes. This approach guides all our projects, from regional developments and local government strategies to town centres and precinct planning.

The world’s 10,000+ cities reflect diverse cultural and community aspirations. Our urban design and master planning team shapes resilient, smart cities using our Biourbanism systems-based workflow. We create design strategies, urban design frameworks, structure plans, master plans, design advisory and guidelines services, feasibility studies and implementation plans for new cities, large regions, precincts, and local areas. By building digital twins and integrating insights from the Biourbanism Lab, we provide a strong evidence base for urban analysis and design testing.

Driven by data and design, we develop strategies that enhance the function and feel of cities, towns, and communities, creating exceptional places for the future. Our inclusive master planning process brings together different parties to achieve beneficial outcomes for clients, communities, and the environment.

Drawing on global and local expertise, our team operates at all scales to create harmony between built and natural environments. We guide community stakeholders towards a shared vision of place – a journey that safeguards prosperity and is articulated through unified strategies to inform policymaking.
