We are delighted to be appointed on the Evaluation, Learning, and Innovation Workstream on Project Groundwater, a Defra funded programme which will drive innovation in flood resilience and adaptation to climate change.
McGregor Coxall will be developing a framework methodology and indicators to measure community resilience to flooding and monitor project success. Community resilience is multi-faceted, requiring a holistic approach to evaluate and monitor accurately. To deliver this project we will be integrating our BioUrbanism Lab’s advanced data analytical capabilities with our interdisciplinary team’s skills in emergency management, community engagement, flood risk, and climate resilient design.
Our work will support Project Groundwater’s key aim of changing how groundwater flood risk is managed in the UK and how resilience to flooding is measured. Our ambition is for the resulting framework to be scalable, easily re-usable within the sector, and an asset to stakeholders and communities going forward.
