Sydney Waterways Health Program

Sydney Water Corporation / Sydney, Australia

The Waterway Health Program comprises twenty capital projects across the catchments of the Georges, Cooks and Parramatta Rivers. Working in close collaboration with Sydney Waterways Health Program, multiple councils, and state agencies, McGregor Coxall are facilitating the transformation of Sydney’s most prominent river catchment. The multi-disciplinary team will deliver detailed designs suitable for construction.

The concept phase of the project included multi-site review of environmental factors to ensure a seamless design that incorporated the landscape architecture response into the engineering to enable innovative construction and implementation of the works. In parallel with the concept development, the team provided extensive support to the Sydney Water communications and consultation program. Improving the waterway health will enrich the ecological and social value of these waterways and enhance the natural and built environment for hundreds of communities.
