BLUE GREEN BRISTOL News / New Project / 06.08.2018
Bristols natural environment, unique landscape and spectacular water setting is a defining characteristic of its status as the UK’s most liveable city. However whilst Bristol is a highly desirable place to live and visit, it also faces a series of urbanisation challenges that will impact its future liveability and global positioning. Bristol City Council has engaged McGregor Coxall to undertake a Natural Streets study to explore the social, economic and environmental opportunities of Green & Blue infrastructure strategy across the city. The study will act as a mechanism to turn policy into action, encouraging greater biodiversity, cleaner waterways and well connected, active open spaces for a healthier city. Drawing on the company’s global research and project experience in Blue & Green Infrastructure, McGregor Coxall will identify an appropriate strategic approach that responds to the city’s ambitions.
