Holistic landscape approach for Waterloo project News / Project Milestone / 01.06.2015
A whole-of-building approach has been adopted for the landscape component of a new residential development project at 52 O’Dea Avenue in Waterloo, Sydney. Currently undergoing Development Application, the project sets new benchmarks for landscape and environmental integration. Working closely with BVN, Chen Chow Little and PTW, McGregor Coxall developed tailored outcomes to the three residential towers on the site. The streetscape component is an incremental evolution of the City of Sydney’s masterplan for the precinct, the landscape approach unifying and integrating the three distinctive towers with the public realm. Located in the new Lachlan Precinct bordering Green Square, the project aims to provide a high level of residential and community amenity with a focus on social and environmental sustainability. Spatial optimisation and address to neighbouring parks, high street and laneways was a key focus to the urban design strategy.
