Stage 1 Complete
Oakridge Winery Stage 1 is now complete. Set in the picturesque wine country of Coldstream, Victoria, Oakridge Winery has been transformed to enhance the site’s natural attributes and encourage sustainability. Engaged by Remorne in early 2014, McGregor Coxall’s design scope included the Master Plan and Stage 1. The design intent for the site was to play on the geometry of the surrounding agricultural landscape and environment. The architecture, designed by Denton Corker Marshall, accommodating the cellar door and restaurant, is a contrasting modern structure that provides various spaces for people to relax, enjoy wine and delicious food. The grounds feature a series of inviting spaces, allowing visitors to meander and experience views across the vineyards and hills beyond. The design includes the winery entrance from Maroondah Highway, the restaurant and cellar door surrounds, and a series of courtyards for dining and light recreation. The orchard and herb garden, which provides fresh ingredients for the restaurant, is open to allow visitors to walk through and appreciate produce seasonality.
