MAITLAND RIVERLINK OPENS News / Project Opening / 09.04.2018

The Maitland Riverlink building has officially opened in time to accommodate revellers at the annual taste festival. The building by CHROFI is an addition to the 270-metre-long Levee shopping precinct led by McGregor Coxall. The new lamdmark improves connectivity between the high street and the Hunter River and signals completion of the CBD masterplan initiated in 2012. McGregor Coxall delivered the public realm and streetscape for the Stage 2 Riverlink creating a public living room for the city whilst encouraging activity and interaction along the river foreshore. Maitland mayor, Loretta Baker said, “The Riverlink Building is a wonderful addition to The Levee and it will really strengthen the city’s historic relationship with the Hunter River. It’s a beautiful building that we are very proud of and that our community will use for generations to come.”
