Research Led Practice

We are design professionals united by systems thinking, focused on evidence-based master planning. Our team brings together design and planning practitioners who lead complex projects, specialists who share their expertise across the industry, and digital experts who drive our innovation.

We are united by Biourbanism collaborating with our clients across sectors and disciplines. We have commitment to place and community prosperity. Project delivery is backed by rigorous research, and digital intelligence strengthening outcomes. Approaching 30 years of experience and having delivered more than 1,000+ completed projects, our team brings extensive knowledge in solving challenges.

This culture of learning, refined over decades, shaped our Biourbanism model: a framework for designing cities as living systems that perform for people, place and nature.

Biourbanism

Embracing cities as a living, dynamic part of nature. For over 25 years, Biourbanism has formed the foundation of McGregor Coxall, guiding all our projects. Cities drive the world economy but have become our planet’s principal polluters, generating more than 75 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions and presenting significant climate challenges.

Global Expertise

McGregor Coxall’s portfolio extends across five continents, with over 1,000 projects demonstrating how our design led approach creates sustainable value across a diverse range of places, regions and cities. Our global work is deeply informed by local context, people and culture to deliver shared prosperity. We utilise global data sets to simulate local economic and environmental conditions using digital twins to ensure projects are sustainable and climate resilient.

A changing climate

By 2030, the world will have warmed by 1.5 degrees. We are at the forefront of decarbonisation and climate risk mitigation, helping shape a resilient and prosperous future through thoughtful and impactful design.
