Ethnographic research methodologies, Community Engagement, 3D modelling, GIS Mapping

Gemma’s joy for Landscape Architecture is driven by a keen interest in how urban landscapes intersect with the dynamic socio-political spheres of migration, mobility and economic development. Gemma is curious about how economic policy impacts the somatic experience of landscape across different communities that live within the same place, particularly near or within waterscapes.

With a training in Anthropology, extensive volunteer experience across humanitarian organisations and a career in public sector infrastructure construction, Gemma brings core skills in ethnography, public participatory research and workshop development. She is passionate about community-organised design.

Gemma has worked and volunteered in the UK, United States, Australia, Japan, Cambodia and India, and thrives in multi-disciplinary and diverse teams.
