KATIE EARLE APPOINTED TO AILA NSW COMMITTEE News / Event / 29.07.2021

The Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) have announced its NSW Chapter Executive Committee for 2021-23, appointing McGregor Coxall Associate Katie Earle in the eight-strong team charged with driving advocacy and strategic direction for the profession.

Earle, who joined McGregor Coxall’s Sydney Studio team in March 2021, said she’s eager to contribute to the growth and representation of landscape architecture in her home state.

“It’s an honour to appointed,” said Earle. “AILA leads a dynamic and respected profession tasked with creating great places that support healthy communities and a sustainable planet. I now can represent the rich, diverse voices of the NSW membership, whilst also having a platform to develop and curate my own advocacy for our profession.

“As an AILA NSW Executive member, I look forward to developing close relationships across a broad spectrum of professional and government bodies to ensure that collectively, as a profession, we continue to work towards sustainable, resilient, and place-centric design excellence.”

Climate Positive Design, Connection to Country, and Gender Equity are the strategic values that underpin the Chapter Executive Committee’s operations.

“The AILA NSW Chapter Executive is chartered to deliver on its vision, strategic values, and strategic pillars. These pillars include sustaining the institute as a body, understanding and responding to needs of members, supporting education, advocacy, and raising the profession’s profile.”
