Amie Mason

Expertise
Landscape Architecture, Concept Design

Hailing from regional Queensland, Amie completed her Bachelor with Honours in Landscape Architecture in 2018 from the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. As part of her final year research project, Amie investigated the effect of urban light pollution on nocturnal insect species, driving her passion for ecology and urban biodiversity. Since graduating, Amie worked for Brisbane based firm Vee Design before joining the Competition Department at Topotek 1 in Berlin, where she was a part of various international landscape architecture and urban design competitions throughout Europe and the Middle East.

Amie is interested in the concept of ‘mutualism’ between non/human species, and how the nexus of art, design and ecology can redefine ‘health’ from a condition that is internal and pharmaceutical, to the external design of our shared urban infrastructure.
