St Leonards Health & Education Precinct

Dexus Property Group / St. Leonards, NSW, Australia

McGregor Coxall worked with Woods Bagot to devise a Public Domain concept for the redevelopment of this important Dexus Asset positioned at the gateway of the Royal North Shore hospital precinct. The Architectural envelop created a challenging public domain with limited sunlight and a narrow spacial perimeter. The design envisages a linear courtyard space to maximise passive recreation opportunities around the campus with a focus on wellness and tranquility. The courtyard is punctuated by native ferns and a naturalised watercourse that folds into the topography of the site. A range of spacial typologies are deployed to encourage interaction and informal gathering for various user groups. Activation at the northern end of site creates a legible gateway and entry point to the precinct.
