Charterhouse Property Group commissioned McGregor Coxall to undertake masterplanning and landscape architecture services for a detailed planning application in Oxford.
Taking a campus-wide approach, the landscape concept presents a unified character that includes a wetland walk, public terrace, seamless accessibility, and an arrival experience that truly signifies the site’s importance.
The design is structured around a tree-lined avenue that provides a key access point to the site. This pedestrian-prioritised street seamlessly connects to a south-facing parkland that comprises SUDs, terraced seating, benches, and biodiverse planting. Features are framed by a naturalised edge condition and gabion wall integrating robust safety with a more natural edge.
The landscape provides adequate space to improve social health and wellbeing for the Oxford Innovation Park visitors, linking with the adjacent Littlemore Park residential community.
