Housing Target Validation Tool

Victoria Planning Authority / Victoria, Australia

McGregor Coxall created the Housing Target Validation Tool to help the Victorian Government test whether proposed planning policies can deliver their target of 800,000 new homes. By modelling housing capacity across Activity Centres, the tool ensures targets account for the Gross Floor Area (GFA) needed for comfortable living. It compares a standard approach with site-specific optimisation, producing fast, evidence-based results that guide smarter policy decisions and support the delivery of well-designed, liveable housing.
