Dr Philip Belesky

Senior Associate, Technical Lead in Computational Design

Philip is a designer and developer with expertise in creating design tools, supporting complex design development, and teaching design technology.

As an academic in RMIT University’s Landscape Architecture Discipline, his design research worked between mapping as a way of understanding environmental systems and procedural generation as a means of forming design action. His work has been published in Architectural Design and Kerb Journal as well as shown at ACMI and the Melbourne/Copenhagen Design Weeks.

He holds a Doctor of Philosophy from RMIT University that was completed as part of the Spatial Information Architecture Laboratory as well as a Master of Landscape Architecture from Victoria University of Wellington.

Philip also has extensive experience working as a developer in the technology sector and as a consulting computational designer in architectural practice. His technical expertise centres on programming for CAD platforms, for parametric modelling, for environmental simulation, and for the web.
