The ACT 'Remaking Lost Connections' competition sought solutions to the climate change crisis in the context of Canberra’s cultural, natural and built environments. Judging for the competition recently concluded with prize money of $15,000, set to be announced before the end of June. Sponsored by AILA, the National Capital Authority, ACT Environment Planning and the City Renewal Authority, the competition encouraged entrants to develop innovative and creative responses that inspire the role of the urban landscape in Canberra and connect people to place. Chaired by Adrian McGregor, a Fellow of AILA, the Jury had the task of judging ideas that aim to address the impacts of climate change though imaginatively recasting the stories unique to Canberra.
