The Falls to Hotham Alpine Crossing draft masterplan is currently on public exhibition. The Falls to Hotham Alpine Crossing will be Australia’s world class alpine walking experience exhibiting the essence of the Australian Alps. The walk captures the solitude, seasons, breathtaking beauty and stories of the High Country. The master plan, prepared in partnership with Parks Victoria, Tourism North East, the Department of Economic Development and Visit Victoria determines the best route for the Alpine Crossing and the supporting infrastructure needed to create a world-class tourist offering.

The proposed strategy immerses visitors in the alpine environment along high country scenery, heritage huts and the summits of Victoria’s most spectacular peaks.
