Project Description:

McGregor Coxall proposed residential precinct on Anzac Parade, Little Bay. The site is currently developed in the west with some sport facility buildings of the UNSW and sport fields. The central area of the site is dominated by a pond and a geological formation, a deposit of Miocene. The east of the site is currently a large grassed area with an existing 3-storey building. The design proposes to demolish all existing buildings, remediate the land and reshape the landform. It is proposed to develop a residential community containing a public urban park and a public natural corridor parkland.

The proposed street typology is guided by Water Sensitive Urban Design initiatives and has a close relation to the surrounding landscape. The patch of the Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub as well as the deposits of exposed Miocene and Ochre will be protected.Pedestrian connections to the surrounding developments such as the Prince Henry site to the south and connections to Little Bay Beach and the Coastal Walkway will be enhanced to integrate the development into the existing surroundings.
