Project Description: In collaboration with Deuce Design, McGregor Coxall incorporated a wayfinding system and interpretive signage package into the multi-award winning Former BP Park in Waverton. The signage package is integrated throughout the 2.4 hectare harbour front park. The site’s industrial heritage is articulated in signage installations in various key locations of historic fragments. The parks environmental framework of regenerating bush land and constructed wetlands are new elements of the remediated park also articulated in the signage. The signage is intended to be a subtle addition to the powerful industrial geography and harbour views prominent throughout the park. The panels include text and historical images uncovered through research on the site’s past uses.
