Project Description: This private family residence takes advantage of its hill side setting with a series of dramatic garden terraces spilling down the site. Working closely with VIM design architects mcg+c assisted the client realise a house design that was fully connected to its site. Inside and outside are seamlessly integrated. The design proposal was to enlarge and lower the base of the house and raise the ground level terrace to allow the two to connect. A sleek swimming pool with timber surround projects over the mid slope. A spa is nestled higher on the site with commanding views to the reserve beyond. The street gate house and entry pathway is framed with timber screens and a hovering series of roofs to provide weather protection. Stepping privacy walls and a simple planting palette complete the design.
